I was born and raised in Fernie and graduated from the Fernie High School. After graduation I was hired on with CP Rail and worked all over the City of Vancouver with the switch tie gang. After doing this for a few years I moved back to the Valley. I started with Nufloors as an Apprentice Floorcovering Mechanic in 2005 and I have taken many training courses since then to stay on top of my trade.
My wife, Christina, and I have planted our roots here and don’t plan on leaving!
I moved to Fernie when I was nineteen and I won’t say how long ago that was! It seems like only yesterday.
In 2006 I started working as a Benjamin Moore colour consultant with Nufloors and I now find myself venturing into the flooring department expanding my knowledge with colour and design.
My husband, Darren, and I have raised three wonderful children here in Fernie. We are very active people who enjoy spending our time at the lake with family and friends.
I have been involved in the flooring industry since 2005. Nufloors has given me the opportunity to become a Professional Tile Installer through many technical programs and school training.
I have been able to obtain a great career in the town in which I was born!
I was born and raised in Fernie and with my husband, Dennis, have raised my children in Fernie as well.
I started working with Nufloors in 2009 as the Receptionist / Flooring Consultant. I love getting to know my customers and their plans for re-decorating their homes. Helping them pull it all together and seeing their total satisfaction when the project is complete is what “Makes my Day!”.
I am just beginning my career with Nufloors and I look forward to an exciting future.
My experience includes customer service while managing a Telus Mobility store. I also worked as an office administrator for a Bell Satellite / Mobility Store.
Fernie is an enchanting community with spectacular scenery. I lived here when my children were young and I am thrilled to be back!
I was born in Germany and I started in 1993 as an “on the job” Apprentice Tile Setter. I finished in 1996 with my Diploma as a Certified Tile Setter. Since then I have worked around the world installing ceramic tiles. My experience includes all types of ceramic and stone tiles.
In 2008 my wife, Jael, and I moved to Canada to work with Nufloors here in Fernie. Nufloors has sent me to training courses with Schluter to further my knowledge of waterproofing and anti-fracture membranes.
Jael and I have purchased a home here in Fernie and love our little “corner” of the world.
I was born and grew up in Fernie. My children were also born and raised here.
After leaving Fernie for nineteen years, I returned to the beauty, family and friends.
I have always enjoyed home decorating and I look forward to helping our customers design their own spaces!
I was born and raised in Fernie and I graduated from the Fernie High School in 2002. I attended the University of Victoria and in 2007 I received my Bachelor of Art Degree with Distinction, majoring in History and a minor in English. In 2008 I returned home to Fernie to become a partner, with my parents, in the Fernie Nufloors store.
My wife, Sarah, and I have two children, Kaylee and Tiasha, and are happy to be living, once again, in Fernie.
I was born in New Zealand but grew up in Northern Ontario. I moved to Fernie in 2009 after working in Northern Alberta. I have over 12 years experience installing flooring and I am proficient installing ceramic tile, hardwood and both residential and commercial vinyl and carpet. Since I have started with Nufloors I have also become qualified in the application of Duradek.
My girlfriend, Kendal, and I have bought a home in West Fernie and we plan on being here for a long time to come!
I moved from England to Canada in the summer of 2009 to experience life in Canada.
My career began in the flooring industry in 1988. I started in warehousing for the largest carpet retailer in the UK, progressing into sales and I was then trained to become a flooring installer, becoming proficient in installing carpet, vinyl and laminate. I then estimated for a flooring company for 4 years before moving on to overseeing my own flooring business.
Since moving to Canada, I now work as Operations Manager for Nufloors Fernie, responsible for the smooth running of day to day installations.
Denyse and I were married in Sparwood in 1977 and have called the Elk Valley our home ever since. Our four children were all born and raised in Fernie.
We purchased the store in 1994 after working many years in the coal mining industry. We are a family owned business operating under the Nufloors Group. Nufloors offers us marketing and business expertise as well group strength to help operate in a very competitive industry.
I was born in Smithers, B.C. but I mostly grew up in Fernie. After working for 16 years at the Upland Golf Club I moved back to Fernie which I have always considered home. In 2010 I started working for Nufloors gaining experience in warehousing and in installing all types of flooring.
I enjoy my job and I like helping the installers. Every day is something different.
